There are several options available and rather than stating which is the best one, we have provided some general information to help you decide which service is the right one for you.
Sky
This is a subscription digital TV service which offers a range of packages to suit various interests including: music, news, entertainment and documentaries. There are various Sky bundles to choose from and you generally need to sign up to a minimum of 12 months. You also have the option of adding Sky movies and Sky Sports for an additional fee.
Virgin Media
The TiVO box gives access to on-demand digital TV. There’s a vast array of channels to choose from including ITV, Disney and Sky 1 and you can select shows by title, category and actor. However, it’s not available everywhere and you’ll need to check whether it’s available in your area.
Free Digital TV Services
Freeview and Freesat are the 2 main options and give access to lots of popular TV channels including all terrestrial channels and the ability to top up with the likes of Netflix, Britbox and Prime Video. These are the cheapest and simplest way to get digital TV as you simply use a set-top box or digital ready TV to receive the signal.
